My Review
In Love & Pajamas by Catana Chetwynd is a cute, engrossing and engaging read. It's my first time reading one of her phenomenal works. I'm truly taken in the humorous yet delightful stories interspersed in sequential arts of the couple's daily life. Before diving into this hilarious piece, I was made to understand that this couple's daily life is inspired by Chetwynd's own relationship - with her fiance, John. So, yes, on the cover, you can see the illustrations of Chetwynd and John. They're pretty cute, aren't they? Well, it's cuter as you go flipping the pages.
The book parades a-sneak-peek facets into the couple's daily life. As I perused through, there are times when the couple loves to tease each other. Their daily life is fully brimmed with heartwarming scenes, as well as interwoven with the skits that can make readers laugh and squeal with glee. Yet, sometimes, the couple has it worse too. Especially when they experience drawbacks, they know how to fix their relationship back. Love is supposed to be like this. The ones whom you love should love you wholeheartedly, not just by your appearance but also embracing your flaws in all its glory.
What falls short to me is some of scenes are apologetically unrelatable to me. Maybe this book will be deliciously savoured by those who are married or having intimate relationships. Nevertheless, it can be read and enjoyed by all ages.

About the Author
Catana is a self-taught traditional artist and the enthusiastic author of Catana Comics. She grew up in Saratoga Springs, New York, where she spent her time creating art and pursuing an education in psychology until accidentally stumbling into the world of comics. Not only is her fiance, John, the daily inspiration for her drawings, but he was also the one who suggested a comic series about their relationship in the first place. Thanks to his idea and his inspiring daily antics, Catana was able to pursue her childhood dream of being a cartoonist. She currently lives on the East Coast with John and their tiny, angry dog, Murph.
